Then the shiny troopers showed up and built structures on his planet. Chirpa and his medicine man Logray decided it was best to stay away from them. One day, Wicket showed up with a lady. This was nice because it kept his attention off Chirpa's daughter, and it also gave the tribe something to do since it took all of them put together to make this chick a dress. Later that day, more tall peeps showed up and were captured by one of the hunting parties Chirpa had sent out for food.
With the shiny troopers running around and blowing stuff up, a lot of the animals the Ewoks fed on had fled the area. They were having to venture out further and further for food, but now they have a few very large pile of eats with the two humans and the long furred guy. They'd also found a golden god. Life was sweet.
Things went downhill slightly when the god made it clear these guys were not for eating, but they got a good story out of it. Another upside was Wicket's intense interest in one of the guy's legs, which made Chirpa suspect that all the pursuit of his daughter was a mad attempt to prove something untrue about the young Ewok.In the end, Chirpa went against Logray's advice and sent his tribe off to help the Rebels destroy the Shield Generator, saving the day for all. Several of his guys were killed in the Battle, and even more were killed when the debris from the Death Star crashed on their planet. Chirpa was among the casualties of the latter.
